The national championships in amateur level are getting closer also in Scandinavia. One very familiar face for us is Sune Larsen , he is prepping for Danish Nationals..

I assume the national championships will be Nordic qualifiers in each country and the teams will be announced after these events. I ll keep u updated.

As you probably already heard the rumours during the O weekend, there will be new qualifying rules applied what it comes to Olympia. The new rules will be applied starting January 2012. Its getting tough!

Already some good international contests in Scandinavia during the spring 2012 gotten dates:

Loaded Cup – which was held last time at 2009 – will come back in Scandinavian contest schedule. According to the pre-information, the show will be held in Denmark at 28-29. April 2012.

According to Norwegian federation, the traditional Oslo Grand Prix will be held on 21st April 2012. Week before this (15th april), Sandefjord open will take place at Hjertnes Kulturhus, Sandefjord.

While our focus here in Scandinavia was at Nordic Championships, there happened A LOT in the world of bodybuilding and fitness during this weekend. I try to collect here some results …

Let’s start with GP Pepa Opava which was held yday in Opava, Czech.

Internationally, the most interesting stage-fight was in men’s BB -90 kg category, where Arnold Classic Amateur Europe winner, Slovakian Marian Cambal met Peter Molnar who used to compete in other federation. Finally Molnar took top honors both in his class and over all class! (Molnar in the middle in the pic below). Zrinka Korac, the World Champ from last weekend, took over all in body fitness.

Juliette Bergmann Classic was held in the Netherlands on Sunday 23rd October. The contest was a pro qualifier so the best athletes were awareded with pro cards. The winner of JBC Eddy Wilson got a pro card (open class) and the runner up Quincy Winklaar was awarded with pro status as well, in -212 lbs category.

Like Dutch guys turned pro, so did Finnish BF chick Kati Alander. Finnish BODY mag wrote today that Kati, who got the eligiblity to turn pro by winning Finnish nationals over all, had decided to turn pro.
