Canada had their BB nationals during this weekend. 3 athletes were awarded with pro status; Chris Wong (masters), Henri Pierre (men’s BB over all) and Zane Watson (so called 2nd pro card). More photos and results available at http://www.muscle-insider.com

A new documentary ‘Lesukov vs Cutler’ is waiting for the American

Alexei Lesukov who decided to set his own rules on the bodybuilding Olympus.But how is this fiction related to real life? 24-year-old athlete won
European and American Arnold Classic for the amateurs and became the most
popular bodybuilder in Russia. Will it be enough to make a successful
career in pro-division? Today Alexei makes his best to get ready for his
first pro season planning to conquer Nordic Pro Championship in Finland and
Arnold Classic Europe in Madrid. Next step is Olympia. Young Russian
athlete comments on his projects with a smile on his face -‘Why not to
replace one of the veterans, Cutler for instance?’Life certainly can bring its own changes into any script, but why not to
try? At least Russian fans are sure that Lesukov will make a small
revolution in pro-division and the script won’t have to be changed.

The autumn season in Scandinavia started in Sweden with Swedish Nationals in Athletic Fitness and nationals qualifier in men’s and women’s physique (men’s physique for the first time ever in Sweden), FBB, bikini, bodybuilding, BF and CBB.

Women’s AF awarding;
Kristian Sewén takes another title and wins the short AF class;
Ara Sarkisian started his contest career in 2008 and now got rewarded with the Swedish nationals title // AF tall class;
The first ever men’s physique show in Sweden was won by Pontus Koskelainen (in the middle);
Anna Stålnacke and Kittie Dehn-Rosengren took the top honors in bikini classes on their route to the Swedish Nationals.

Some more news from Sweden; Sweden’s spring contest – Sweden bodybuilding and fitness Grand Prix – will be held in Malmö, Sweden on Saturday 26th April 2014. The divisions included; BF, bikini, bodybuilding, CBB, men’s and women’s physique.

In a major coup for the ever-evolving BodyPower Expo, the official IFBB sanctioned BodyPower Pro will be the only pro show taking place in the UK.
After five successful years, the loyal BodyPower following has grown accustomed to seeing amateur competitions featured within the UK’s number one fitness expo. For the sixth installment, BodyPower has taken it up a notch with the BodyPower Pro, taking center stage within the three-day fitness phenomena.
“Bodybuilding has always been big in the UK,” IFBB Professional League president Jim Manion said. “There has been a long history of great champions competing in England and next year the IFBB Pro League is proud to keep that tradition alive with the BodyPower Pro.”
The BodyPower Pro is set to feature an exciting and varied, three class line-up. Visitors can expect to see top names from the world of bodybuilding battling it out in the 212 class, figure, and for the first time ever in the UK, the pro wheelchair class.
The addition of the pro wheelchair class is a proud moment in the history of the expo. As an industry leader and the UK’s number one fitness expo, BodyPower is a strong advocate for ‘fitness for all’ and supports the notion that disability is no obstacle to achieving your goals.
BodyPower CEO, Nick Orton commented on the announcement: “The introduction of a pro show into the expo program is fantastic news for our visitors. The size of the show and its following has snowballed year on year, justifying the need to take the offering to the next level. The BodyPower Pro will certainly do that!”
Spectators can also expect an additional line-up of world renowned open competitors, who will take to the stage for a series of guest posings throughout the BodyPower Pro. Prejudging will take place during the day of Friday, May 16 and will be accessible to the expo visitors. Fitness icon Monica Brant won the WBFF figure pro world championships title yesterday and announced she will retire! Monica joined IFBB pro league in 1995, competed at first in fitness division (won Fitness Olympia in 1998!) continuing then with figure,’ but a couple of years ago moved to WBFF.
Bikini pro athletes competed at IFBB St Louis Pro yday. Pre show favorite Justine Munro took the top honors here which means Justine also qualified to the Olympia.
