    IFBB female physique pros competed at Titans GP. Sabrina Taylor wins. She placed third in her first – and only – IFBB Pro League Women’s Physique competition in March, so Sabrina Taylor wasn’t exactly an underdog pick to win the IFBB Titans Grand Prix on Saturday. But facing one of the biggest and deepest lineups of the year, one that included two previous contest winners in Patricia Mello and Karin Kimura, Taylor didn’t enter as the obvious choice, either.

    Show recap by NPCnewsonline.com;

    From the moment Taylor walked on stage for the afternoon prejudging, it was clear the much-improved Taylor was going to be tough to beat. Tighter, fuller and with just the right amount of new muscle since her last outing at the Pro Grand Prix, Taylor posed her way past Mello, Kimura and 19 other competitors to win the first contest of her nine-year pro career. Taylor, who made the switch from Figure to Women’s Physique this season, earned her pro card by winning her class in the Fitness division at the 2004 NPC USAs.

    Patricia Mello earned her second runner-up finish in Los Angeles. Mello, who won the Europa Show of Champions in April, placed second to Sara Hurrle at the Pro Grand Prix in March. Consistently criticized for being borderline too-hard for the division, Mello went a little too far in the other direction this time out.

    Venus Nguyen, vastly improved from her 10th-place finish at the Pro Grand Prix, placed third while Keisha Wester (4th) and Susan Graham (5th) rounded out the top five.

    Figure, fitness and bikini pros travelled to the Florida heat in order to compete at FT Lauderdale Cup on Saturday 21st October.

    Pro Fitness

    Oksana Grishina, the lone veteran of the trio, came to Florida in the midst of a career-best year that included a first-ever win at the St. Louis Pro in March, followed by a runner-up finish at the Fitness Olympia. But that was just the appetizer, as Grishina shocked the Fitness world a week ago by doing the impossible and beating Adela Garcia at the Arnold Classic Europe. It was the second win of Grishina’s career, and it put an end to Garcia’s five-year undefeated run. Her win in Ft. Lauderdale, which came in the next-to-last IFBB Fitness event of 2012, was the icing on a year to remember.

    Bethany Cisternino and Regiane DaSilva placed second and third, respectively.

    Figure

    With three wins already entering the weekend, Candice Lewis had already shown she wasn’t your typical rookie, and she proved that yet again in Ft. Lauderdale. Competing in her mind-boggling sixth contest of the year, Lewis continued her torrid streak by capturing her fourth win of the season. This one ###### her her one away from entering rare air – both Nicole Wilkins and Erin Stern hold the record for most wins in a single season with five. Lewis now has her sights set on joining that group at either the Kentucky Pro or the Miami Pro.

    Rookie Kamla Macko finished as the runner-up for the second straight contest – Macko placed second at the Valenti Cup in her pro debut – while Camala Rodriguez placed third in her figure debut. Rodriguez had previously competed in the Fitness division before deciding to make the switch to figure.

    Bikini

    For YeshairaRobles, her win in the Bikini division was the second of her career and her second straight in Florida. She started September win a win at the Valenti Cup before placing ninth at the Bikini Olympia. Robles, who turned pro by winning her class at last year’s Team Universe, has competed six times this season, finishing in the top three in all but the Bikini Olympia.

    Lacey DeLuca, competing in only her second pro contest, finished second to Robles once again. DeLuca placed second at the Valenti Cup in early September. Gigi Amurao rounded out the top three.

    Border States Pro Bikini results;

    Amanda Latona won the IFBB Border States Bikini Championships on Saturday night and, in the process, kept her streak of three-year win streak alive. Latona, who waited until July to do her first contest of 2012, has now won at least one contest in each of her three years in the IFBB.

    The win automatically qualifies Latona for the 2013 Bikini Olympia.

    Tiffany Marie Boydston placed second, the highest finish of her two-year pro career. The top-three placing was the second of the year for Boydston, the first coming when she placed third at the Pacific USA Championships in July.

    Stacey Alexander finished third for the second time this season. Alexander, who turned pro at the 2011 NPC Nationals, has three top-five finishes in her first year in the IFBB Pro League.

    Noy Alexander (4th) and Ashley Conley LeBlanc (5th) rounded out the top five.

    2 a tad smaller pro shows was held yday in the States; pro figure athletes competed at Kentucky Pro and bikini girls at Sacramento Pro.

    Kentucky Pro Figure

    Ann Titone capped a banner year with her second career win at the Kentucky Muscle Pro Figure Championships on Saturday. Both of Titone’s wins came this season, during which she placed in the top four in all but one of her six competitions.

    Titone’s first win came in August at the Tampa Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Championships. Here, she had to contend with two first-year pros in runner-up Dana Ambrose and third-place finisher Bernita Stuckey.

    Ambrose, who won her pro card at this year’s Junior Nationals, now has two top-three placings in her first two IFBB contests. Ambrose placed third at the Houston Pro two weeks ago.

    Stuckey, who won her pro card at the Team Universe in July, didn’t fare as well in Houston, placing 13th. But she rebounded nicely here to crack the top three as a rookie.

    Sacramento Pro bikini

    Amanda Latona continued her dominance of the Sacramento Pro Bikini Championships on Saturday night, winning her third straight title at the event. The win was the second in as many weeks for Latona. Latona, who won titles in Sacramento in both 2010 and 2011, is the only winner in the three-year history of the event.

    Tawna Eubanks finished second to wrap up her first full season in the professional ranks with consecutive top-three finishes. Eubanks, who won her pro card at the 2011 NPC Team Universe, placed third at the Houston Pro two weeks ago.

    Another first-year pro, Jessica Arevalo placed third, the highest placing of her career. Ashley LeBlanc and Tiffany Marie Boydston placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

    Even though the end of the pro contest season is getting closer, still some smaller shows left, one of them – Iowa Bikini Pro was held yday. Here the results and a short recap by NPCnewsonline.com;

    Ashley LeBlanc won the Iowa Pro Bikini Championships on Saturday, putting an exclamation mark on what was already an extremely successful start to her professional career.

    LeBlanc won her pro card at the NPC USAs in July and hit the ground running in the IFBB Pro League, notching three top-five finishes in her first three competitions. With no clear-cut favorite heading in, LeBlanc came to Iowa as one to watch in what seemed to be a wide-open contest. But LeBlanc shut that door quickly at this morning’s prejudging, earning straight firsts on the judge’s scorecards en route to the first win of her career.

    Crystal Green, an amateur competitor at this time last week, finished as the runner-up. Green earned her pro card seven days ago at the NPC Nationals in Atlanta by winning the C Class.

    Three was the theme for Lacey DeLuca in Iowa, as the first-year pro placed third in her third pro contest, which – coincidentally – was her third straight top-three finish. DeLuca placed second at both the Valenti Cup and the Ft. Lauderdale Cup.
