About Kim

I started taking gymnastics when I was 4 years old. Beginning to compete at the tender age of 8, I knew that I had found something that I was truly passionate about. I continued to compete in the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Program through high school, where I also competed on a High School Varsity Gymnastics Team. During my sophomore year, I injured both my knees. This slowly began the ending of my gymnastics career, which then came to a halt by the age of 17. During my physical therapy rehabilitation, I began to see some muscular development and took an interest in weight training. I began competing in fitness competitions in 1996. This too quickly began a new passion for me. By the time I was 21, I had already placed in the top 10 twice at the National Level in the NPC Fitness Divison. In 1998, I took a two year break to finish my college education. I graduated from Georgian Court College in 1999 with a B.A. and dual certification in Elementary Education and Special Education. Being away from competing gave me the drive to push myself to highest potential. I began competing once again in 2001, it felt so great to be back on stage. Today I am currently the 2002 NPC USA Fitness Medium Class Winner and I have earned my IFBB Pro status. In my very first Professional contest (The New York Pro), I placed in the top five. I placed 3rd and the Jan Tana Classic…..Qualifying me to the 2003 .
