IFBB: Changes made in EBFF executive council 2017

The annual European Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation Executive Council Meeting was held in Venice, Italy, this time, on January 20-22. Held in the luxury, historical Daniele Hotel and run by the EBFF and IFBB President, Dr. Rafael Santonja, the Meeting was very prooductive and interesting, bringing many important decisions. The most interesting ones are tied with changes in the official categories open at the upcoming European Championships:

— Women’s Bikini-Fitness categories have been increased to eight:

1. Women Bikini-Fitness Up to & incl. 158 cm

2. Women Bikini-Fitness Up to & incl. 160 cm

3. Women Bikini-Fitness Up to & incl. 162 cm

4. Women Bikini-Fitness Up to & incl. 164 cm

5. Women Bikini-Fitness Up to & incl. 166 cm

6. Women Bikini-Fitness Up to & incl. 169 cm

7. Women Bikini-Fitness Up to & incl. 172 cm

8. Women Bikini-Fitness Over 172 cm

— Men’s Physique categories have been increased to six:

1. Men’s Physique Up to & incl. 170 cm

2. Men’s Physique Up to & incl. 173 cm

3. Men’s Physique Up to & incl. 176 cm

4. Men’s Physique Up to & incl. 179 cm

5. Men’s Physique Up to & incl. 182 cm

6. Men’s Physique Over 182 cm

— New Master Men’s Bodybuilding categories:

1. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 40-44 Up to & incl. 70 kg

2. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 40-44 Up to & incl. 80 kg

3. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 40-44 Up to & incl. 90 kg

4. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 40-44 Over 90 kg

5. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 45-49 Up to & incl. 70 kg

6. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 45-49 Up to & incl. 80 kg

7. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 45-49 Up to & incl. 90 kg

8. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 45-49 Over 90 kg

9. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 50-54 Up to & incl. 80 kg

10. Master Men Bodybuilding, age 50-54 Over 80 kg

1. Master Women Bikini-Fitness Up to & incl. 163 cm

2. Master Women Bikini-Fitness Over 163 cm

— New Men Games Classic Bodybuilding categories:

1. Men Games Classic Bodybuilding Up to & incl. 175 cm

2. Master Men Classic Bodybuilding Over 175 cm

— New Children Fitness categories (girls):

1. Fitness Girls up to 7 years old Open category

2. Fitness Girls 8 years old Open category

3. Fitness Girls 9 years old Open category

4. Fitness Girls 10 years old Open category

5. Fitness Girls 11 years old Open category

6. Fitness Girls 12 years old Open category

7. Fitness Girls 13 years old Open category

8. Fitness Girls 14-15 years old Open category

For all categories: each category can only be run if there are not less than 6 athletes. If less than 6 athletes, categories will be combined, wherever possible.
