IFBB Classic BB World Championships 2013 – Imre 4.koht ja Peep 6.koht!

IFBB gives out the first official information of this event to be held in St Poelten Austria at 15th – 18th November;

AUSTRIA IS READY!

This year’s IFBB Men’s Classic Bodybuilding Championships will be held in Sankt Poelten (short: St. Poelten) – capital city of the Lower Austria province in Austria. St. Poelten has had nearly 2000 years history, founded by the Romans under the name of Aelium Cetium. The current name is derived from Saint Hippolytus of Rome (Sankt Hippolyt, then St. Polyte, then St. Pölten).

IFBB Judges Committee Chairman Pawel Filleborn visited Austria few days ago and accompanied by the Austrian Federation President Dr. Wolfgang Schober went to St. Poelten to see all places tied with the upcoming Championships and to fix the details of the Inspection Report.

“My whole inspection visit went smoothly, without any “unwanted” surprise. Both hotels are of the international standards, the convention-exhibition center is a modern facility, all IFBB needs will be met” – Mr. Filleborn told us after the visit. “Dr. Wolfgang Schober is our experienced official, still continuing his competitive career, so he perfectly understands and “feels” the athletes’ needs” – he added.

The Championships will include all 5 Classic Bodybuilding categories: 168 cm, 171 cm, 175 cm, 180 cm and over 180 cm plus overall.

The IFBB Bikini Fitness World Cup will be run in conjunction with the Championships. The Cup will include 2 bikini fitness categories: up to 168 cm and over 168 cm plus overall.

For both contests, each National Federation may enter an “A-Team” with 7 athletes (5 classic bodybuilders and 2 bikini fitness girls) as well as a “B-Team” with the same number of athletes.

All official participants will be welcomed at the Vienna International Airport and the bus transfer to St. Poelten (90 minutes) will be provided by the Organizing Committee. St. Poelten is also easily reached by train (Western Rail of the ÖB:cool: or by car (A1 Autobahn). European Union countries don’t need visas. The next 41 countries (Citizens of ‘Annex II’ countries) also don’t need visa if stay up to 90 days. Other countries have to check at: (http://en.wikipedia…._European_Union)

Taking into account the increasing popularity of both sports: classic bodybuilding and bikini fitness, we can expect the next record breaking participation of counties as well as athletes. Convenient location of the Championships in the heart of Europe will be a favourable factor.
