    Some recent updates;

    Cedric McMillan confirms his participation – http://www.musculardevelopment.com/news/breakingnews/5459-big-mac-headed-to-fibo.html

    In a surprising announcement, Cedric McMillan has decided that his spring season is not over. He will be competing at the FIBO Power Championships on April 14 in Cologne, Germany, and may possibly do at least one more show before spring turns to summer.

    Until now, the favorites for top spots consisted of Johnnie Jackson (last year’s winner), Ronny Rockel, Toney Freeman, Ed Nunn, and Robert Piotrkowicz. Many have speculated that the most likely outcomes are either Johnnie repeating, or Toney edging him out. Cedric McMillan changes the entire dynamic. He’s tighter now than he was at the Arnold, and a Big Mac in the type of condition we all want to see from him would be deadly. But what led him to this decision?

    “First off, after I got my ass beat at the Arnold, I said I’m doing the Arnold Brazil. I can’t go out like that,” Cedric told me. “Second, I still need to qualify for the Mr. Olympia. And third, I gotta do this for my family. I gotta make some money for them, they put up with a lot with all this bodybuilding stuff and they deserve it.”……

    FIBO Power pro show, including men’s open BB and women’s fitness PLUS the expo coming up this weekend …

    The complete competitor lists;

    NPCnewsonline.com previews the show;

    FIBO POWER: COLOGNE, GERMANY

    All eyes have been on Cedric McMillan since he announced he’d be throwing his hat in the FIBO ring two weeks ago, but it’s 43-year-old Johnnie Jackson who enters as the contest’s defending champion – and on the better roll. Jackson placed fourth to McMillan’s sixth at the Arnold Classic in March in the second meeting between the two. In their first meeting, McMillan edged past Jackson when the two finished 1-2 at last year’s New York Pro.

    187106.jpg

    Ed Nunn also makes the trip overseas to compete in his seventh contest in the past nine months. Nunn is coming off an eighth-place finish at the Arnold and a fourth-place finish at the Australia Grand Prix.

    Michael Kefalianos and Ronny Rockel were both way off at the Arnold Classic, and each paid the price as the two grabbed the last two spots in lineup when placing 12th and 13th, respectively. Each typically fares well on European soil, so if they have managed to improve since early March, each could be a threat for the top five or higher.

    In Fitness, four of the top eight from March’s Fitness International will take the stage. Bethany Cisternino, coming off her third-place finish at the Arnold Sports Festival, leads the way. She’ll have to deal with hometown favorite Regiane DaSilva (5th, Fitness International), who always catches the eyes of the European judges. Ryall Graber-Vasani (6th Fitness International), Kizzy Vaines (7th) and Nicole Duncan (8th) should also be in the top-three-mix.

    ..i thought he might place better too but did not happen! As McMillan took the 3rd professional win in his career. Defending champion Johnnie Jackson placed second, Ed Nunn (3rd), Robert Piotrkiwocz (4th) and Ronny Rockel (5th) rounded out the top five. Only three points separated Nunn, Piotrkiwicz and Rockel on the scoresheets.

    In Fitness, Bethany Cisternino won the second contest of her pro career. Cisternino’s first win came at the 2010 Europa Super Show. Since then she has been a consistent top-five finisher. Cisternino, who was coming off a career-best third at the Fitness International, placed in the top five of four contests in 2012.

    It doesn’t get any closer than it did in the battle for second between Ryall Graber-Vasani and Regiane DaSilva. Each finished with 36 total points on the final scoresheets, with Vasani winning the tiebreaker to earn the runner-up spot. DaSilva, the 2011 FIBO Fitness champ, placed third. Whitney Jones (4th) and Kizzy Vaines (5th) rounded out the top five.
